Jinji Lake Scenic Area (JLSA) in SIP recorded 363,900 tourist arrivals, a year-on-year increase of 111.69%, during the Chinese Qingming Festival which, also known as Tomb-Sweeping Day, is the fifth of the 24 Chinese Solar Terms and fell on Apr 4 this year.
Many people came for spring outings, while others were attracted by diverse events such as the 6th Jinji Lake Peach Flower Festival, the British Museum×Hello Kitty Egyptian Adventure Pop-up Store and the “Awaken in Spring” Youth Art Show, and the special offers at local shopping spots.
Apart from that, a number of art exhibitions opened around the festival, with various exhibits such as paintings and sculptures to give visitors diversified, fantastic cultural and artistic experiences, and many art performances, such as the ballet “Tang Yin”, were staged.
