The three-day 2020 Suzhou International Tourism Expo opened at Suzhou International Expo Centre, SIP on Nov 6. With an exhibition area of 20,000 square meters, the event gathered 39 overseas exhibitors and 328 domestic ones with their dazzling exhibits and promotional activities. The “Suzhou Winter Travel Season” kicked off concurrently to encourage travels in Suzhou in the winter.

The SIP Pavilion was an eye-catcher at the event. With an elaborately designed “footpath” and a roof screen system, it showcased the most sought-after tourist attractions at SIP’s Jinji Lake Scenic Area and Yangcheng Lake Peninsula Tourist Resort. Besides, 30-plus SIP-based hotels held promotional activities during the event, and Suzhou Symphony Orchestra gave performances.

As one of the exhibitors at the pavilion, LY.com, a leading online tourist service supplier in the country, offered enticing products and services such as countryside tours for the elderly and families with kids.

“These offerings are designed to explore new market under the impact of the global COVID-19 outbreak, and also to give our customers new experiences,” said a source from the company.

Apart from that, the expo highlighted tourism resources in the Yangtze River Delta region, and included a number of tourist products and services incorporating elements of education and food culture.
