The sixth edition of SIP’s “Art in Community” art creation program that was launched last October will wrap up one month later. So far, lots of artworks have been created.
SIP holds an edition of the “Art in Community” art creation program each year since 2017, inviting artists to join hands with residents in different communities to create artworks for the communities. Besides, a competition of public artworks and one of residents’ artworks go on at the same time, and the winners have chances to show their works in the parallel exhibitions. There are also public lectures designed to enhance residents’ understanding of art and inspire them to create art.
This year’s “Art in Community” program has incorporated a new component where artists offer directions for residents’ performances including musical instrument playing, singing, dancing, opera performances, recitations and fashion shows which will be staged at the closing ceremony of the program.
