The 2022 SIP Citizens Art Festival kicked off recently, with about 200 events in nine categories to bring a feast of culture and art to people in SIP.
During the festival, the participants have chances to watch the live streams of eight art museums and galleries in the cities of Shanghai, Chengdu, Nanjing and Suzhou, and enjoy various exhibitions, performances and tours online. They can also take part in diverse offline events such as the cultural saloon sessions, handiwork fairs, DIY activities and the specially devised “Art Bus” and cycling tours.
A number of celebrities including famous Chinese exhibition planner Wu Hongliang, Suzhou-native reportage writer He Jianming and renowned playwright and theater director Stan Lai have joined the festival to serve as the “cultural guides” in the events.
It is worth mentioning that, from Nov 1, the SIP Culture on Cloud, a mini program on WeChat, will host five rounds of activities where users can accumulate points and exchange them for gifts and coupons that can be used at such places as theaters, art galleries and shopping spots in SIP.
