SIP Chefang Community Health Service Center, built in SIP’s old Chefang town in early 1990s, reopened at its new site on Nov 1. The relocation allows the health service center to greatly improve its services.
The health service center invested RMB 190 million in 2020 to build the new facility. The project, with a total floor area of 23,000 square meters, boasts a number of well-equipped departments such as those of internal medicine, rehabilitation, general surgery, gynecology and obstetrics, pediatrics and traditional Chinese medicine. It is expected to benefit about 80,000 people in the surrounding areas.
On the opening day, the health service center hosted a free clinic event where several experts from the center and Suzhou Dushu Lake Hospital offered free medical diagnosis and treatments to the participants.
