Serial actions to improve water and waterside environment

        Date:2021-01-06 13:12:42|Source:|Font Size: AAA

The authorities of SIP’s Weiting Sub-district had fulfilled the goal of eliminating all environmental problems at the local Zhuangyicheng Harbor by Dec 25, 2020 with flying colors.

The harbor, a temporary mooring site located in the middle part of Yangcheng Lake, used to be notorious for disorderedly berthed boats and illegal occupation of water and waterside spaces for buildings and poultry farming. Now, it is clean and beautiful.

        After the actions

During the actions, the authorities made records of the boats berthing at the harbor and persuaded the owners of boats meeting related standards to move their boats to designated wharfs, and dismantled and disposed the substandard boats. They also removed the illegal enclosure nets, dikes and piles, curbed poultry farming, and dismantled the illegal buildings. After that, they cleared away the waste and planted plants to beautify the landscape.
