Children and teens in SIP can enter a kindergarten, a primary school or a junior middle school much easier this year by going through the enrollment procedure via the designated website or mobile apps.
SIP Administrative Review and Approval Office and SIP Education Bureau led the development of the “Palm Application for School Enrollment” system last May for online application to a kindergarten or a primary school. The system served about 25,000 applicants during last year’s school enrollment season.
This year, the system has been upgraded to cover the applications to junior middle schools and improve the review procedures. Parents can submit an application online with the required e-documents including ID cards and residence booklets that can be retrieved from the databases of not only SIP authorities but also those at city and provincial levels.
