A delegation from Suzhou Dushu Lake Universities and Colleges Development Union (SDLUCDU), an organization of universities and colleges in SIP’s Dushu Lake Science & Education Innovation Zone (DLSEIZ), paid a visit to the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), a prestigious school based in Hefei of East China’s Anhui province, from Apr 14 to 15 for survey and exchange.
The delegation members, consisting of representatives from DLSEIZ Administrative Committee, DLSEIZ-based Suzhou Dushu Lake Science & Education Development Co Ltd and a number of higher education institutions, first attended a symposium with the USTC’s executives. In the process, they gained a better understanding of the school’s education and research programs and discussed future cooperation based on USTC’s Suzhou Institute for Advanced Study in DLSEIZ.
After that, the delegation had a tour around the school’s campus, labs, research centers to learn about its culture and efforts in driving science and technology development and innovation.
The delegation also visited Hefei Institutes of Physical Science (also known as Science Island) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone where they learnt details about the tech projects there.
