SIP launched the education reform project on Jan 29 as one of the 90 “Pilot Zones for Development of Information-based Teaching and Learning Modes through Education Reform” designated by the Ministry of Education of China last August.
The pilot education reform project is expected to propel development of innovative teaching and learning approaches in SIP. Great efforts will be made to widen application of Internet and smart technologies in education, according to Shen Jian, director of SIP Education Bureau.
On the same day, SIP authorities designated 42 kindergartens, primary and middle schools as pilot schools for the project, and announced 56 subprojects for development of information-based education.
