The Suzhou leg of the 2021 “New Year Cup” China Open Junior Tour will be held in SIP’s Yangcheng Lake Peninsula Tourist Resort (YLPTR) from Dec 31, 2020 to Jan 3, 2021, according to the news briefing held in SIP on Dec 3.

It is learnt that China Open Junior Tour, a tennis program for youngsters under 16, was initiated by Beijing-based China Open Promotions Limited in 2016. It is designed to discover and cultivate youngsters with special talents in tennis.

It is the first time for the program to tour to Suzhou. The event will consist of a series of group and knockout matches for boys and girls in the U8, U10, U12 and U14 groups.

It is worth mentioning that YLPTR’s tourism authority has started to offer discounted ticket packages through the “Travel in YLPTR” WeChat program so that young contestants and their families can enjoy tours to local tourist attractions at low cost.
