With the support of SIP Customs, Suzhou Daoxiangcun (DXC), a well-known pastry brand, recently fulfilled its first export order, delivering Suzhou-style pastries worth US$ 14,288.4 to an overseas client.
SIP Customs provided the company with guidance for preparations for the export and accelerated the document review and sample testing to ensure the products could get into the overseas market as scheduled.
SIP Customs’ efficient services have benefited many foreign trade companies in SIP. Last year, SIP recorded total imports and exports of RMB 715.13 billion, which accounted for 28% of the total of Suzhou in the same period.
The achievement stemmed from SIP Customs’ consistent efforts to enhance collaboration with other customs offices such as those in Shanghai, Dalian and Wuhan, and its innovative, flexible service mechanisms.
For example, SIP Customs gave green light to exporters of anti-epidemic supplies during the COVID-19 pandemic, and adopted online inspection and express field inspection modes for import and export goods to reduce the pandemic’s impact on foreign trade.
It is learnt that the customs clearance for import in SIP in last December only took 26.26 hours, 68.22% shorter than in 2017, and that for export took 0.55 hour, 83.97% shorter.
